Eat With Confidence

Here at England Ranch, we like to say that everyone should KNOW “their farmer”.  We encourage you to come and see the land and the farmer responsible for the raising of your food.  We feel it’s a privilege to raise the food that makes its way to the tables within our community.  We PROMISE that our food is raised with only the best ingredients available.  We PROMISE that our meats are pasture raised – NO Vaccinations – NO Hormones – NO GMO – NO Soy – NO Chemical Fertilizers – NO Chemical Pesticides – and that our livestock are organically fed.  The animals we raise with care, are also harvested in care and are processed here at the England Ranch.  It is our promise to you that you can eat with confidence!  Here is to our health!  Here’s to our families!  See you soon

  • Regenerative organic farming represents a holistic approach to agriculture that not only aims to produce food but also to enhance the health of the soil, ecosystems, animals, and the surrounding community. Here are several benefits associated with regenerative organic farming based on current understanding and discussions:

Soil Health Improvement: By focusing on practices like cover cropping, crop rotation, and minimal tillage, regenerative organic farming helps in increasing soil organic matter, which is crucial for soil fertility. Healthy soil retains more water, reducing the need for irrigation, and supports a diverse ecosystem of microorganisms, which further aids in nutrient cycling.

Carbon Sequestration: One of the most touted benefits is the potential for carbon sequestration. Healthy soils can act as carbon sinks, pulling CO2 out of the atmosphere and storing it in the soil. This not only helps mitigate climate change but also improves soil structure and fertility.

Increased Biodiversity: By reducing reliance on chemical inputs and promoting habitat diversity through varied planting and animal integration, regenerative farms tend to support a higher biodiversity of plants, insects, and wildlife. This is beneficial for ecosystem resilience and stability.

Water Management: Improved soil health from regenerative practices can lead to better water retention, reducing runoff and erosion. This means farms can better withstand droughts and heavy rains, protecting water quality in nearby bodies of water by reducing sediment and chemical runoff.

No Chemical Use: By design, regenerative organic farming minimizes or eliminates the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, which can have numerous health benefits for both consumers and farmworkers, reducing exposure to harmful chemicals.

Animal Welfare: Practices often integrate animals in a way that mimics natural systems, leading to better animal welfare through practices like pasture rotation, which provides natural foraging and reduces disease incidence.

  • Our sole purpose is to establish long term trust-based relationships with our ER family members.

In any ‘true’ regenerative farming model there exists very real limits to how many animals may be gracefully raised relative to the pastures available. Regenerative organic farming has countless wonderful and profoundly positive impacts, however; scalability is not one of them. As you browse around the site notice that each animal has its own grow out model and they will be discussed in detail. The bottom line is there are real production limits that exist, to go beyond these limits would break The Promise we made to you.

Generally, our ER family members entrust us with raising most of their annual protein consumption. We can only provide X quantity of steers, pastured hogs, and pastured poultry. Availability and associated price will be addressed by animal in the related pages on this site.
